A life spent around horses, cattle, and working ranches.
Julian Vasquez is a native of Nogales, Arizona. His family has deep ranching roots on both sides of the border, including large ranch operations in southern Arizona and in Nogales, Sonora.
Julian began riding horseback at the age of seven on a working cattle ranch in Ejido Mascarenas, Nogales, Sonora. He has spent decades working cattle country by horseback and maintaining 15 to 18 horses for daily ranch duties.
For Julian, horses are not simply animals used for work. They are partners. They carry riders through rough country, help gather cattle in difficult terrain, and become part of the family and the rhythm of ranch life.
His experience includes training horses, starting colts for ranch work, and riding through rocky, remote, and steep terrain with dense brush, limited trail access, and long days in the saddle.
